Elementary Recycling Competition
Who: All Gonsalves Elementary School Students
What: The City of Cerritos Earth Day 2012 recycling competition. Bring in your recyclable aluminum cans and plastic bottles to recycle for cash for your school. See the list of acceptable recyclable items on the attached sheet.
When: Bring your recyclables to school on FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2012
Where: Before school starts, bring your recyclables to the collection area at school. Look for the big RECYCLING banner.
Why: The aluminum cans and plastic bottles that you bring in will be recycled and all the money collected with go to your school! In addition, the grade level that collects the most recyclables by weight will win a special prize.
What can you bring in for recycling?
· Aluminum beverage cans (soda, energy drinks, sports drinks, ice tea, etc)
· Plastic beverage containers (soda, water bottles, sports drinks, etc.)
· NOTE: NO PLASTIC MILK BOTTLES & NO GLASS BOTTLES
